Abstract   Fourteen cases of recurrent Wilms' tumor following primary treatment, treated at Dept. of Radiation Oncology, Yonsei Vniversity College of Medicine, Yonsei Cancer Center between 1970 and 1984 were retrospectively analysed. All the patients relapsed within 2 years and the most frequently involved site appeared the lung followed by the primary site and the liver. Among 7 patients to whom salvage treatment was attempted, 3 were successfully salvaged to long term survival over 3 years. From this study it can be concluded that the close follow up to detect any recurrent disease as soon as possible should be done, salvage treatment should be tried with more refined treatment regimen, and new attempts, although experimental, should also be done to the patients who show poor response to conventional salvage treatment.
